Jaguar

British entrepreneur William Lyons had an infatuation with motor sports. He decided to turn that passion into profit. He began by building sidecars for motorcycles. He did so with such success that he diversified, and soon, Jaguar Cars Ltd. was manufacturing automobiles.
Jaguar quickly caught on with enthusiasts. Jaguar, known for capturing speed and power in its polished design, was a frequent winner of Le Mans races during the 1950s.
Jaguar shifted gears from race cars to passenger cars, maintaining its racing integrity but bringing its precision engineering to the public.
